Great bunkhouse, with the benefit of freeview TV and plenty of rooms. The drying facilities were not effective for our stay, probably because th heating was switched off during a nice sunny week. It's worth bringing some spray or protection for the insects as there were quite a lot about. The cycle storage had no door for our stay but this was due to be fixed soon. Julie is very friendly and cooked us a lovely breakfast.

Lovely bunkhouse with a great breakfast!! Julie was very kind and hospitable. A bit of a trek to the pub but worth it in the end...

Stayed here on day 2 of our 3 days C2C... Fantastic accommodation, very clean and lots of space. Also has a good lock up facility for bikes. Beds were comfy and good hot showers. It's about a mile and a half walk to Allenheads - I would not recommend the only pub (the Allenheads Inn) due to their staff rudeness and very poor customer service, but the Hemmel Cafe has had good reviews and you could aim to get there early enough to eat. Breakfast is included in the price and set us up well for our last days cycle. Only a couple of minor downsides... the bunk house doesn't have self catering facilities if you are late arrivals and miss the cafe/ pub, and the drying room did not dry our gear very sufficiently overnight (possibly needs to be a bit warmer), but otherwise all good.

Great breakfast, heating was on timer so it was cold and our clothes were still wet. Felt like we were rushed out the next morning.

Stayed here again on the 10th of June 2014. Julie was great and as usual cooked a lovely Breakfast on the morning. It's always entertaining trying to get into the triple bunks. Will definately use this accommodation again.
