Excellent nights stay during C2C. A warm welcome plus great food and ale. The superb breakfast fuelled me all the way to Rookhope. Top notch.

Really nice pub with best food (and shower) of the trip. The rack of lamb was memorable. Would highly recommend.

Perfect place for c2c stop off. Comfy bed, brilliant shower and great food and ale, well worth the extra couple of miles effort.

Stumbled on this pub whilst looking for somewhere to have evening meal. Met with a warm welcome from Donald (even if he was in the middle of DIY), food was excellent and would highly recommend to anyone passing by. Will seriously consider staying here next time we are in the area on holiday. Marks out of 10........11

Well worth the mile or two deviation from the C2C route. Plus you can easily re-join the route without having to backtrack. A warm welcome from Donald, decent food and ales. Highly recommended.

We stopped at the Highland Drove on the cows to coast. We were instantly made to feel at home and the food, ale and wine was fantastic. The rooms were nice, comfy and clean. We stayed at 5 places on the c2c and this was the best. Highly recommended.
