Stayed here in August along with four others and found it to be 1st class. All home made food made by Celia and jams made by her daughter. Staying again 13/09/12. I know we must be mad, this will be our 3rd time this year we have completed the C2C but Celias breakfast makes it worthwhile.

We stayed last weekend whilst on the C2C and what a host Celia and Catherine are! We arrived quite late on the Saturday evening after a day of riding in horrendous rain, arriving soaking wet! Celia really catered for us ensuring our clothes were dry for the next morning. We were a little too late to get dinner, but Celia gave us a lift to the local convenience store to pick up dinner and happy for us to use their kitchen to cook. Breakfast next morning was fantastic with a BIG selection of continental style items as well as a full cooked English breakfast!! This is not the usual sort of thing you expect from any guest house/hotel - I know as I stay in a lot hotels week to week through my work. This guest house gives absolutely exceptional hospitality. Great work Celia and Catherine!

We stayed here at the start of this summer (2014) and found it very welcoming. The owners were lovely people and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable and very clean, I will definitely be returning here if I ever do C2C again! NB. Breakfast was AMAZING :)

A huge pot of tea with scones and cakes on arrival.Made so welcome Bikes locked up securely.Breakfast was well just read James Smiths review it says it all. If I do this ride again i will ensure Celia can accommodate me before planning my schedule. Huge thanks to you for making us welcome and sending us off after a really great night rest and breakfast. We booked this after reading the reviews on here.We were not disappointed.Bikes locked away securely. Huge pot of tea and warm scones and cakes on arrival We couldnt of been more welcomed. We walked down into town to eat. But breakfast was everything that James Smith (above) has said I think if we bought another four of us in we couldnt of eaten all that was on offer. I could of just cut and pasted the other reviews as it seems Celia looks after everyone with the same high standard. If I do this again I will ensure that Celia has space for me before I even plan my date.
